The pre-seasoned carbon steel is noticeably lighter than my old cast iron, which makes flipping pancakes much easier. After a few uses the matte finish is already developing a nice non-stick patina.

That stainless steel handle stays cool enough to grip mid-flip, and the pan's still light enough to toss veggies without wrist strain. The pre-seasoned matte finish has held up through about a dozen eggs and two seared steaks so far.

The pre-seasoned surface was ready to cook on right out of the box, and the pan heats up so evenly that my eggs slid right off. It's noticeably lighter than my old cast iron, which makes flipping veggies a breeze. Only wish the handle were a bit longer for my big hands, but it's still sturdy.
